Annemarijke van Luijtelaar
Annemarijke van Luijtelaar is a PhD candidate at the Minimally invasive Image-Guided Interventions Center led by prof. dr. Jurgen Fütterer. She studied Medicine at the Radboud University Nijmegen. During her master thesis she focused on direct in-bore Magnetic Resonance Image-guided prostate biopsy. In July 2018 she started her PhD at the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine under supervision of Jurgen Fütterer, Michiel Sedelaar and Joyce Bomers. The project is focused on the efficacy and oncological outcomes of focal prostate cancer treatment using Magnetic Resonance -guided focal laser ablation (FLA) and Transurethral Ultrasound ablation (TULSA). The aim is to validate focal laser ablation and TULSA as an established focal treatment of prostate cancer.
