Joey Roosen

Joey Roosen studied Biology (Bachelor’s degree) and Medicine at the Radboud University Nijmegen. In 2019 he started his PhD project at the Department of Medical Imaging of the Radboud University Medical Center Nijmegen. During his PhD, he works towards an MRI-guided approach to selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) with holmium-166 microspheres. SIRT is a treatment modality during which radioactive microspheres are injected into the hepatic arterial system, in order to irradiate liver tumours. His supervisors are Jurgen Fütterer and Frank Nijsen.
