Dr. Willemijn Klein is the chair of Lymphomics, a multidisciplinary group focused on lymphatic flow disorders, with specific expertise in MR lymphangiography. In 2019, Willemijn introduced a cutting-edge MRI technique, MR lymphangiography. This technique allows detailed imaging of lymphatic flow, crucial for diagnosing conditions such as congenital lymphatic abnormalities and lymphatic leakage (e.g., chylothorax). By accurately identifying the site of leakage, targeted therapies like embolization can be performed.
